No analytics before consent
Cookies and analytics preferences
The site stores one local analytics preference. Optional GA4 code is not loaded until you accept.
Strictly necessary local storage
The versioned key eu-parcel-analytics-consent:v1 stores “accepted” or “rejected” so the site can remember your choice. It is not used to identify you or to store calculator values.
Optional Google Analytics
GA4 is disabled when NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID is absent. When it is configured, the external analytics script is inserted only after affirmative consent. Automatic page-view collection stays disabled. The site sends one manual page view on initialization and one when the pathname changes, using only the origin and pathname so share parameters and URL fragments are excluded.
Equal choice and withdrawal
The banner gives accept and reject equal prominence. You can reopen it through the footer and change the saved preference. Rejecting prevents the analytics script from being rendered on subsequent page loads.
